Service Information for Brian Buchler
Please join us in celebrating Brian Buchler's life November 1st, 2013
Please join us in celebration at Kurtz Memorial Chapel (102 Francis Road, New Lenox 60451) at 10:45 am
We will have a short service (approximately 45 minutes) at Kurtz and then proceed to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Road, Elwood IL 60421) where Brian will receive full military funeral honors (folding of the flag, taps and full gun salute) for his brave service for our country starting at 1:00 pm. This will take approximately 20 minutes and will be held outside under limited shelter so please dress accordingly. The immediate family will then move to the niche to have a private moment to say "goodbye". In the meantime please proceed to the the American Legion in New Lenox (14414 W Ford Drive, New Lenox 60451) for a buffet luncheon starting at 2:00 pm.
We are planning to have a couple of open tables at the luncheon designated for people to bring in pictures, momentos or anything which reminds you of Brian's life here with us. We encourage everyone to bring something to share and we hope to see a full table in his honor!
We are also asking that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made on Brian's behalf to the amazing Cancer Center at Silver Cross Hospital where Brian spent many hours encouraging others and being treated so he could be with us all a little longer.
Please make checks payable to: University of Chicago
Please mail to: Jennifer Mox 315 S Pine Street, New Lenox IL 60451
The checks will be hand delivered to the Cancer Center and made sure that every donation is applied in his name accordingly.
Brian's obituary will be published in The Sun Times (Chicago) on Sunday October 27th. You will be able to read the information on line at http://legacy.suntimes.com/obituaries/chicagosuntimes/
